Get the word out... the z Job Board is here!
Funny how I hear from people in the System z community that they can't find new people to hire... and from Academia that they can't find jobs for their students....

Well... check out the Job Board at http://www.systemzjobs.com. A meeting place for employers and potential employees to discuss jobs around the System z Platform.

Happy hunting all

Marc

Have you gone to the Systemzjob.com job board to see if any companies in Asia have posted positions?

There is also a jobs search tool on mainframezone.com. Go to this link for a look (http://www.mainframezone.com/jobs).

RE:Get the word out... the z Job Board is here!
Students worldwide can take the "Z05: IBM System z and z/OS Fundamentals Mastery Test" at no charge in 2011. Passing that test is a great way to get a foot in the door with mainframe employers and to distinguish yourself from other students. Details here: https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/university/systemz/masterytest/

You can find all of IBM's professional certifications and tests here: http://www-03.ibm.com/certify/index.shtml.

Hope that helps!

Hi Todd,
I have just got the Test Z01: IBM System z Entry Level for z/OS System Programmer certification and now I have noticed that the test Z05 seems to be similar or exactly equal to the Z01. Do you know what the differences between both tests?

Thanks =)

That's right - Z05 is a replacement of Z01. The subject matter is the same, but the questions have been updated. If you've passed Z01 already, then you've proven your mastery of the material. Future test-takers will take Z05 to demonstrate their mastery of z/OS and System z fundamentals.

Hi,

You can find Db2 certification details on - http://www-03.ibm.com/certify/certs/08003503.shtml

And as per my understanding - Test 000-730 - DB2 9 Family Fundamentals is first step to get into DB2 certification, then you can have multiple specialization option.

Hope this will help you.
Regards,
Sujit
