HI Mainframers
Hi all,

Hope all are doing good,I am sorry if this is not the right place to ask this question.

Iam from india and i work as a trainee at offshore for a client's shop in US.
everyone here says mainframe will loose scope, and there will be no carrer in mainframe in near future.so wat u all think about this..wat is mainframe carrer scope at offshore.

This is similar to what I wrote to answer a similar question elsewhere on this site:
New customers are still coming to System z. It runs the world economy. Even if your friends do not see mainframes, much of the world uses them. A majority of the 100 largest corporations use it and depend on it.
These days people are less likely to have the same job for decades. Even if the mainframe market were shrinking, the mainframe will still be big in ten or 20 years so you are safe if your job involves the mainframe. The average age for people working on mainframes is high. Many job opportunities are coming for young people.
