Searching for members in multiple libraries (PDS)
Have you ever been in a situation where you know the member name but not in which specific library or PDS it was?

Go to 3.4 (Data Set List Utility)
Type in the high level qualifier of the the PDS where the member might be (e.g. USER.MYLIB.*)
In the command line, type M THISMEM (where THISMEM is the member you are searching for).
The result would be indicated on the Message column as 'Member: THISMEM' on all the PDSes where the member was found

The '*" wildcard can also be used for greater search flexibility.

As an additional search option, a 'SORT MESSAGE' command can also be done to group/sort the libraries/PDS where the searched members were found.
