So, on the third-platform devices, Linux is still only in its infancy, but by the end of 2013, we could see plenty of development in this area. And wouldn’t it make life simpler if the OS you used on your phone and tablet were the same as the one on your laptop, your company’s servers, and the mainframe?

IBM Honors the 2012 Mainframe Masters

The top finishers of the 2012 Master the Mainframe contest from North America, Spain and Spanish Latin America were honored during award ceremonies in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. In its eighth year, the IBM Academic Initiative competitions continue to grow—with 13,813 students worldwide participating in mainframe contests last year.
